چکیده

This review is dedicated to the different varieties of macrocycles synthesis bearing indole units in their architecture by metal-catalyzed strategies. The progress new macrocyclization approaches persisted be a keen area research. Macrocycles contain wide variety molecules, and among those, heteroaryl motifs are valuable constituents that provide an attractive feature macrocyclic systems. Indole represents one privileged pharmacophores against targets with various biological applications. Among nitrogen-based heterocycles, plays prominent role organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceuticals, natural products agrochemicals, dye fragrances, drug design. These scaffolds widely distributed several bioactive synthetic constructed specific biochemical target most common naturally occurring molecules. Due its immense importance, novel for indole-based has increased steadily. majority proceeds through macrolactamization macrolactonization, as well C–C bond process described ring-closing metathesis (RCM) coupling reactions. macrocyclizations, considered powerful tools chemists design macrocycles. aims give comprehensive insight into scaffold catalyzed transition metals emerged literature over last two decades. We hope this will persuade search strategies protocols.

Enzyme-Catalyzed Macrocyclization of Long Unprotected Peptides

A glutathione S-transferase (GST) catalyzed macrocyclization reaction for peptides up to 40 amino acids in length is reported. GST catalyzes the selective S(N)Ar reaction between an N-terminal glutathione (GSH, γ-Glu-Cys-Gly) tag and a C-terminal perfluoroaryl-modified cysteine on the same polypeptide chain. Cyclic peptides ranging from 9 to 24 residues were quantitatively produced within 2 h i...

Chemical reactions catalyzed by metalloporphyrin-based metal-organic frameworks.

The synthetic versatility and the potential application of metalloporphyrins (MP) in different fields have aroused researchers' interest in studying these complexes, in an attempt to mimic biological systems such as cytochrome P-450. Over the last 40 years, synthetic MPs have been mainly used as catalysts for homogeneous or heterogeneous chemical reactions. To employ them in heterogeneous catal...

Macrocyclization by nickel-catalyzed, ester-promoted, epoxide-alkyne reductive coupling: total synthesis of (-)-gloeosporone.

Ringing the changes: The total synthesis of the title compound centers around a novel strategy that employs a nickel(0)-phosphine complex and triethyl borane in an efficient closure of a 14-membered ring through C--C bond formation (see scheme; cod=cyclooctadiene). The synthesis was accomplished in 10 steps and in approximately 9 % overall yield.

Metal-catalyzed semiconductor nanowires

Semiconductor nanowires have become an important building block for nanotechnology. The growth of semiconductor nanowires using a metal catalyst via the vapor–liquid–solid (VLS) or vapor–solid–solid (VSS) mechanism has yielded growth directions in 〈1 1 1〉, 〈1 0 0〉 and 〈1 1 0〉 etc. In this paper, we summarize and discuss a broad range of factors that affect the growth direction of VLS or VSS gro...
